Hunting

Hunting is a big part of society today.  I go pheasant hunting every winter with my dad, uncle, and grandpa.  We always drive up to Wessington Springs, South Dakota to hunt on my uncle's land.  I hate it when it is really cold and snowy because I lose feeling in my hands and feet by the end of the day.  My uncle has two hunting dogs that help us out.  They always spook the pheasants out of the the corn or long grass.  Then when we shoot a bird the dogs are on top of it.  Hunting can also be really boring on a slow day and can also be fun when there are a lot of birds to shoot at.

I never have any fun when there is three feet of snow on the ground because it is really hard to walk in.  It also isn't fun when the temperature is below 10 degrees.  The wind doesn't help either, but when the temperature is cool and its not windy it is amazing.  At the end of the day we usually bring home about 6 or 7 pheasants between my grandpa, dad, and I.  The best part is cleaning the pheasants and getting to eat them.
