After school on ordinary days

After school on ordinary days I hang around school for a little bit and talk with my friends about total randomness

 and about the school day that has recently gone to pass. Realizing the time I rush to the orchestra room

before all the teachers leave and lock the doors behind them.

 I push through the heavy front doors to see my mom

sitting in our car waiting for me to come.

 Upon arriving in the car, I turn the radio on and set it to 104.7 which I always turn up too loud so I’ll end up turning it down

 so I’m able to answer my mom’s questions about that day at school.

We usually check the mail as soon as we arrive home,

and as usual I never get any mail.

As soon as I open my front door,

my dog Lucy comes to greet me with all out excitement.

I’ll take off my shoes by the door

and take my homework to the table to start working on

even through I hate doing homework.

 I’m a great procrastinator so I will randomly get up

or make excuses on why I shouldn’t finish my homework.

I might go on the computer for a while or watch some TV.

When dinner roles around, hopefully I’m done with homework

so all I have to do is wash the dishes.

Depending on how many dishes there are,

it takes me about a half an hour to wash them.

When I get done washing the dishes,

I usually go and watch TV.

or go on the computer till I get bored out of my mind

and then decide to go hop into the shower.

Then I get out and get ready for bed.
