- What is CyberEnglish9 and how do you feel about being in this class?
 

  Cyber Comp is a language class in which every assignment is done on the computer, except for reading of course. In Cyber Comp, we make a webpage and paste poems, stories, or just assignments in general. Once we read a book, we discuss it on the Internet in a class blog. For example, our whole class read the book Monster and we went onto the Internet and discussed different parts of the book. Then we had some quotes given to us and we were to write what they meant to us, the student body.  Then we wrote a couple of essays about the subject given and how we felt about the book.  Recently we were assigned to find a book and take a few notes on it while we read. Soon we are going to research a topic about the bood and write a research paper about the subject.

- What's your favorite thing about your web page and why?
 

  My favorite thing about my web page is the individuality about it. The best thing is that everyone has their own and can express their feelings through pictures, essays, and just the font of the writing. For example, everyone made a mandala and could use their own ideas to make the positive and the negative side of things. Then we drew pictures and wrote words on the mandala to explain why it was there. Then you could even choose your own color and shape of construction paper to put it on. After that we scanned it into the computer and put it on our website. Even the way the person's website is setup is individuality. Everyone has a different background and just looks different in general.

- If you had more time to work on your web page, what would you change or improve about it and why?
 

   If i had more time to work on my web page, I would make it more perosnal and add in some additional outside web page links.  I would make it more personal by adding in some more pictures, stories of my childhood and present day, and some more pictures of who my idol is and why he/she is so great. Then i would add in some outside webpages, like games, famous quotes, favorite web page, and Google, of course. I would try to make my web page more appealing to the outside visitor and try to make them more interactive with the site.

- Do you ever find yourself helping other students in CyberEnglish9 to learn something? How does that feel? Is this a normal role for you or new to you?

  I always find myself helping other students in Cyber Composition with the computers and different programs on the computer. For example, my good friend Jason sits next to me and I always seem to be helping him with spelling and different ways to do the task that our teacher tells us to be doing. It feels good knowing that I made a difference in somebody's day and not just another face that passes by in the hallway. Believe it or not, I am actually doing this alot, not just with this class, but with life in general. I suppose you could just call me a good person all-around. I love to help people and it makes my day when again, I make a difference in someone's day.

- Do you feel more confident now than you did at the beginning of the year about any of your skills: computer? writing? reading? Explain.

  I do feel more confident now than i did at the beginning of the year about my computer and writing skills. Since we did alot of writing on the computer, I have progressed in that region. Another thing that was introduced to me in Cyber Comp is Frontpage. I always wanted to know how to create and have my own website page. It is actually a very simple concept, but I never knew about Frontpage. One thing about reading is that I am very slow. We read two books this semester which is two more than I read last year. The hardest part of reading a book for me is getting interested in it and have patience since I read slow. But once I get into a book and start reading it, I will read it and pay attention to it.

- Now that you've been a web designer for nearly nine months, you probably feel fairly confident in some of your technical skills. Compare your skills now with what they were at the beginning of the year. What's different? Also, what do you still want to work on? What would you like to accomplish with your web page next year or the year after?
 

  Ever since i knew that you can make your own webpage, I always wanted to make one. Now I know how...Frontpage. It is a fairly simple concept as I explained in the earlier passage. I would still like to make my own webpage, one that has tons of games and all kinds of things to look at and to pass the time with. But for now, this one is for school and for Cyber Comp. Overall, my Cyber Composition class has been a total success. It is a different way to take a class compared to the usual paper and pencil type of things. Cyber Comp is more like two classes in one, sophmore composition and a computer or technical class.
