Jack and the choir are hooked on hunting. That's all they care about. Jack is angry because he wasn't voted chief. He doesn't  listen to what Ralph wants to do. The first time he and his gang go hunting, they see a pig but Jack hesitates to spear it. This still shoes he has some civilization in him. Eventually, he paints his face and becomes a savage. Hunting overtakes his body and he ends up hunting Ralph!
