After School On Ordinary Days

After school on ordinary days I would

come home to a quiet house with

different shades of green, blue, black,

white, orange, purple, and

red walls with bundles of butterflies and other imaginary creatures.

There’s a big window in the front of the house

that anybody could see into.

We eat Mac n’ Cheese with ketchup

And we watch 9-0-2-1-0, CSI, or Run-way.

We dance, we sing, and listen to opera.

I will eat cotton candy while watching a scary movie

After school on ordinary days.

My friends will stop over,

We will sit in the garage doing our thing,

On ordinary days.

Night Sky

Shining exclusively in the sky

Like perpetual hope

When an exquisite star jots across the sky

Everything is tranquil

So picturesque, so posh,

Even divine
