| It was the winter
of 1994 and I was sitting in my tree stand. I was about 10 miles west of
Springfield. I had been sitting there for about two hours and I saw a
whitetail deer walking up towards me. I couldn't see the size of the
rack at this point but I could see that the deer had a big body. I
waited a good twenty minutes for it to get in my range and in a clear
spot to shoot it. Then I could see that the whitetail was a 7x8. When I
had it on the spot I needed it to be, I took my shoot. I got him and
tracked him down. I draged him back to my truck and took him home. Once
I got him, I cut him open and cut off all the meat. I saved the neck on
up and had the head mounted. My Dad |
