When I go hunting with a dog and we are with other people the person with the dog is always in the middle so the dog can work its way on both sides. We always walk slow so the dog can work the area good and not be rushed and doesn't mish a bird. After we are done with a field the dogs always get something to drink and the get to rest so they don't get to tired.
