| Interview When I asked my mom what she thought of when she saw dogs, she said she thinks of a farm. She grew up on a farm and she said they were important to them. They helped out in many ways she said. Herding the cattle was a big thing that they helped out with. She also said that they were good watch dogs and liked to guard the place. When someone came on the place they all knew because the dogs would bark no matter who it was. There dogs were also just fun to play with just like many people do today. Dogs seem to be the same thing today as they were years ago.
