| Black Dogs
This myth is about dogs as spiritual guardians. It deals with the souls from long ago. Completely black dogs would be sacrificed to watch over the dead in the churchyard. These dogs had to be completely black, not a single white hair. Direct evidence of this has not been found. The dog is the oldest domestic animal, that has a close relationship with humans. Guarding homes and sharing there hearts at night, and hunting as work during the day just shows the connection that dogs had with the otherworld.
