What is CyberEnglish and how do you feel about being in this class?
Cyberenglish is an English class on computers. We do all our work through e-mails to our teacher and writing them on our computer. I feel great about being in this class. You get to display all your work on your own website, which everyone can see. We get to use our technology skills to display our writing skills. This class is so much better than a regular writing class because it is exciting and fun. It takes away all the trouble of writing things over and over again. I feel like this class influences many young students to be confident about what they write and to practice their writing skills at the same time.
What's your favorite thing about your web page and why?
My favorite thing about my webpage is my Mandela. This is my favorite thing because it was a very fun and exciting project. It shows my personality in an artistic way. It's not just a long boring essay about myself. It's a colorful piece of art that everyone can enjoy. It was also exciting learning how to put it on our website. The way we had to cut it out, scan it, and then upload it onto our website was a great learning experience. Many students enjoyed this project because of how unique it is compared to other writing assignments.

If an outsider visited your site, what would you hope he or she would think about it?
If an outsider visited my site I would hope that they would think I put a lot of time and effort into it. I have worked very hard on my website to make sure everything works properly and is in the correct place. I would also hope that they would think that my writing is good. This is what using computers is all about using our writing skills and displaying them to everyone. If we gave our writing assignments to our teacher she would be the only one to see them. Another thing I would like them to think about is how much we learn from our teacher and how it shows through our writing assignments.
Do you ever find yourself helping other students in CyberEnglish to learn something? How does that feel? Is this a normal role for you or new to you?
Yes, I usually find myself helping other students in CyberEnglish learn things. It feels great knowing that you are helping another student accomplish their goals. Take for instance my friend Mitch. He sits next to me and asks for advice frequently. It feels good knowing that I'm helping him come up with new ideas, and I'm sure he is thankful for my assistance. This is somewhat normal and new for me. In other classes I sometimes find myself helping other students, but in this class I also find myself helping others. This is different because I'm not usually asked for help in writing, but the people that ask for my help don't complain.

Do you feel more confident now than you did at the beginning of the year about any of your skills: computer? writing? reading? Explain.
Yes I feel much more confident with my work now than at the beginning of the school year. I feel better using a computer because I can type much quicker and I have more knowledge of what I'm doing on the computer. The confidence in my writing has risen dramatically. I have a better understanding of how to write and what I'm writing about. The work in my literature in my opinion is much better than it was at the beginning of the school year. I also feel like I am a much better reader because of of what we have learned. I have learned new words, new writings, and new ways of doing things.

How have you changed as a student through CyberEnglish (if you have changed)? Be specific. What will you do with what you have learned in this class?
I have changed greatly as a student through CyberEnglish. I have become a better writer in many ways. I have also learned new ways to write, which has helped me to become a better writer. Using my new writing skills I can write different kinds of papers. The things I will do with what I have learned are unlimited because of my new knowledge of writing. I will write more papers with more enthusiasm, better word choice, and less errors. With my English classes I'm taking later in live I will reflect back on what I have learned in here. The amount of English I have learned in this class is extensive.
