Teshub was a god of sky and storm. He is said to control storms and weather of all sorts. He holds a triple thunderbolt in one hand and an axe in the other. He is also depicted with a sacred bull. In Hurrian stories he is either married to Hebat, the mother goddess, or Arinna, the sun goddess. His enemy is the sea serpent, Hedammu. He is most likely the inspiration for the Greek myth of Uranus, Cronus, and Zeus.
