The
turning point of my life happened when I was in seventh grade. I was at home
watching TV ,and my cousin called me. He wanted to play football. We played with
my friend Mitch. At the end of the game we ended up losing. It was Mitchell and
I plus Nikki. The other team was Jake, Jeremy, and Shawn. The next day I went to
school, and when I came home, Jake called and asked if I and Shawn wanted to
come over to Cameron’s and play football. So we went over to Cameron’s house and
played. We played for a couple hours, and my team lost once again.
I went home and did my home work and went to bed. The next day I went to school and asked Mitchell if he wanted to play after school. He said yes, and he was going to bring some pop. After school we all went over to Cameron’s. The teams were Mitchell and m I vs. Cameron and Shawn. The game started, and Mitchell had the ball. I went down for the touchdown. He threw the ball, and I caught it and turned around to realize that I was already five feet from the end zone. I ran in and touchdown! Mitch and I were up a touchdown. Next Shawn had the ball and Cameron went down to the end zone. Mitch and I tried to block the throw, but we couldn’t, so they got a touchdown. The next play I and Mitch had the ball again. This was the fatal play. Mitch was going to run it. So it started off I couldn’t block Cameron, so I ran up and blocked Shawn. I looked back, and Mitch was about to get tackled. I ran up close, and Mitch threw the ball just far enough to catch it. He got crushed by Cameron. I turned to run, and Shawn was in my way, so I stalled. Cameron got up and came after me. He was behind me, so I didn’t see him. Then he tackled me and the back of my hand was touching the ground. My arm came down toward it. It snapped, and I screamed. Cameron got off and looked puzzled. I started to walk home, clutching my arm. I let my arm hang down, and I felt a lot of pain. I almost passed out. That experience showed me that I was no longer invincible.
