After school on ordinary days
After school on ordinary days I walk out to my brother’s car.
We have to drive because we live afar.
We arrive home and our dog is staring out.
If he sees someone he will start to shout.
As I open the door he jumps at me.
If he doesn’t stop I get angry.
His tongue is wet and his nose is cold.
The Mac and cheese in the fridge is old.
Later my sister walks through the door.
She will have to clean the floor.
She has just got off the big yellow bus.
If she gets mad she will start to cuss.
I sit down and start on my home work with a glass of water and ice.
I make a list and check it twice.
When I am done I close up my bag and have some fun.
