Interview
I was going to Colorado on a trip with my family. We took an old rundown car that I thought was going to breakdown before we even left town. The trip to Colorado was fun, seeing the different landscapes all along the way. Once we finally got to Colorado we went to Denver. It was amazing seeing the Mile High stadium, and having my dad talk about all the things that happened out here. After a long day of traveling we went to the motel to relax. The next morning we all got into the car and drove to Pike’s Peak. The drive was pretty boring so most of us kids just slept. But as we were at the base of the peak I suddenly jolted awake. It was a breath taking view going up. I could literally see forever. Every once and a while when someone had to got to the restroom, I would get out and just gaze off into the distance and be amazed at what I saw. Once we got to the top we went into the souvenirs shop, then we started to descend back down the peak. Well on the way down the breaks on our car started to wear out from going to another mountain the other day. It was scary going down and passing cars on the side of a hill. My mom kept freaking out, so the whole time us kids were making fun of her. Finally after 2 hours we made it down the peak in one piece. That was enough adventure for one day, so we went out to eat then went back to the motel. Now whenever I say that I want to go back to Colorado, everyone just laughs because of what happened that day. – In the voice of my mom.
