Turning Point

Monster

"A best friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out." This is a quote once said by Walter Winchell. I feel that this quote pertains to most of my life involving my friends. One turning point in my life was in the second grade when I met the best person that anyone could ever meet. Her name was Kelsey and on the first day of school we become the "bestest" of all my friends. Ever since then I have had many of my friends have walked out on me or betrayed me, but Kelsey has always been there for me. Just recently I thought I had another friend like this until the day she decided to call me a bad friends and a couple of names. I really did care about her but I guess she is just one of those people that fade away during high school. This has happened to me many times but I am still glad that I have at least one person who knows me, understands me, and likes me for who I am.

A more recent turning point in my life is right when the school year had just begun I got shin splints. This was really bad news at the moment because I was in sports. The worse part about it was that I was in two sports. So I went to the chiropractor for it and they told me that if they weren’t healed by Labor Day then I had to decide what sport I wanted to do. Well it was between softball, which I play all during the summer, or volleyball, that I only get to play from August-November. Well as you may think I chose volleyball and I have excelled pretty well in it so far. But I still feel like that I let down my team for softball and they still ask me why I quit. So I just tell them that it was either both sports for a half a season each, or one sport for a full season. Most of them understand now, but I still feel horrible for leaving after only two games but I go and watch them and cheer them on at their home games.
