After School on Ordinary Days

After school on ordinary days

I go to brutal football practice

or maybe a football game.

After I call my mother to

return me to our house.

Followed by supper, then

the never ending homework

is finished. With what time is

left I play games on my computer.

Before it gets too late I set my

alarm clock to wake me early

in the morning. Then I lie down,

fall asleep, and dream of things

most people would consider impossible.
