I think that this class is much different then any other class because we use the computer so much. I have never used the computer so much in a class. We are on it almost everyday. In most classes we use books or listen to the teacher talk all the time. But in this class we get told what to do and then she lets us go do what we have to do on  the computer. Also we made a web-site. I have never thought of making one in a class before. We pretty much do everything on this website. All the stuff that we do in the class gets put on the internet and I have never thought of something like that.

My favorite thing about my web page would have to be the part where we get to design it all. I think that it is a lot of fun. We get to pick everything out for it and what goes on it. And everything we do goes on the page too. Anyone who wants to look at what I do in class can see it.

One thing that I would do to change my web-page would have to be to spend a little more time on what I put on it. I think that it would look a lot better if I did put a little more time into it. I think that I could get a better theme. Mine isn't that attractive and to have all the colors match.

• Even though you are too young to vote, it won’t be long. You should be aware of what is going on in the world and in our country. So, I want you to write a five paragraph journal entry explaining who you would vote for for president if you were able to, and give three good reasons why.  In case you don’t know, the people still in the race are Republicans John McCain and Mike Huckabee and Democrats Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama.

    Being too young and hearing all this stuff about the election is not normal for us to pay any attention to it. During Channel one they talk about it all the time and it is a little hard not to see anything about it. When I think about it I think that it would be really cool to have a women president. We have never had one and everyone always thinks that women cant do anything.

    One reason that I would like her to win would have to be because she is a woman. A woman has never been elected before and I think that women need to have some power in our country these days. People guys especially think so low of women. They think that women can not be anything good. And that we can  lead or be in-charge of anything.  So I think that Hilary Clinton needs to be elected.  A women as president would be a good thing for the USA.

    Another thing that I think would be good if she got elected would be that she has some experience. If she did get into office she would some what know what to do. She has been a senator and her husband was in office so she knows what is going on there too.  She know what she is doing and how she does it. If something happens she will know what to do.

    She doesn't always tell people how to live their lives. She says that she would love to have us do what we want. If she gets elected there will not be a lot of talking about how and what the people should be. She will let us live out lives. She wants us to be who we are and not someone else.

    In the end I think that Hilary should be our new president. It would be a good thing for the US to have a women leader. She would make a good impact on our county and our lives.

• What steps have you taken to revise the work you have published on your web? Why did you decide to make these revisions?

                I have read through what I wrote. And made some corrections. As of what P. Schulze has s        suggested.   I have also made it my own. I have added some color and size and different fonts.  I have changed some punctuation that is on my work too.  I decided to make these changes because it would make my work  look better and sound better. I have also done this to add come of me to the web-site.

• Which new technologies that you have learned could you see using in other classes? Explain.

I think that there are many other things that we could use in the classroom. Such as I-pods I think that using them to use as a recorder.  We could  also use lap-tops in the classroom to take notes and I think that it would be a lot cheaper because we wouldn't have to buy anymore text books.

                I really don't prefer writing with another person.  Writing with another person is sometimes hard because you both have different ideas. Other times what you may like the other person doesn't. Having another person with also helps kind of.  For one reason because you don't have to all the work yourself. Not saying that this is good but oh well you get out of some stuff.  You make think that they have dumb ideas because you don't like what they have to say. Working alone you can think about stuff and not have to worry about what the other person may think. You don't have to go over it with the other person either or have them disagree with you and have to write it all over again.

• End of the Year Reflection

Sophomore Comp. has taught me many things. More then I could ever think about learning in one class. We learned things that will help us when we are older. Also things that could help us when we get a job.

We have learned how to write lovely poetry. We wrote a number of different things and about a number of different things. What we wrote about was usually something that we have done or had. We would we read a poem and then get a prompt that would go with the poem that we had just read. We then thought about what we should write about and then wrote out own poems. We then turn it in and proof it and put if on our web-sites and hyperlink it.

Another thing that we learned to do was make our web-site. When I got told that we were going to have to make a web-site I got a little nervous. I wasn’t sure what to think, but then we started to make them and I started to like this whole thing. Our teacher taught us how to hyperlink and make our web-sites as unique as we could make them.  We also learned how to put different things on it such as pictures and other fun things. Our mandalas were on there. This showed what kind of person that we are.

At the end of the year of close to it we had to do a research paper.  We got together with a person and had to research a topic together. We got a broad pick on what we wanted to research. My partner and I choose to research crop circles. At the end of researching the paper you had to cit all the work that we did and then put it on our web-sites.
