I interviewed my dad about a dangerous storm he has been in. My dad was in
a very bad winter storm when he was younger. One night my
dad and his brother were driving home from school, and the wind picked up
and started snowing to the point where you could not see if front of the
pick-up. So they tried to keep driving and the pick-up went into the ditch
and was stranded and they knew if they stayed in that pick-up no one would
find them, the snow would be to deep. So they got out of the pick-up and
started walking. They had no idea where they were at or where they were
walking. After an hour of walking they saw a porch light on. They followed
to the light and it was a little farmhouse, where two older couple lived.
They showed up at the door and the older couple was startled to see them.
They brought them into the house right away and got them some hot
chocolate and some warm blankets. They slept there through the night. The next morning they woke up, brought a tractor to pull the pick-up out of the ditch. After they had it fixed they said “Thank You”, and went on their way. |
