How does this class seem different from other English classes you've had in the past?

This class is very different because we do everything on the computer. Its a lot of fun because we don't do boring old assignments out of text books. We get to express ourselves freely by having journals and our own web page.

 What's your favorite thing about your web page and why?

My favorite thing about my webpage is not having to carry my homework around. I also like the fact that people can get to know us and see what we are like. My absolute favorite thing about my website is being able to freely put our thoughts on here. Making the website is fun, and it is a lot better than writing things on pen and paper.

If you had more time to work on your web page, what would you change or improve about it and why?

I would add a lot more detail to my site and take the time to make it better looking. I would write much more when I'd do my cyber journals. I would change things to make them more appealing and catch peoples eyes.

Even though you are too young to vote, it won’t be long. You should be aware of what is going on in the world and in our country. So, I want you to write a five paragraph journal entry explaining who you would vote for for president if you were able to, and give three good reasons why.  In case you don’t know, the people still in the race are Republicans John McCain and Mike Huckabee and Democrats Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama.

In November 2008 there it will be election time. There are candidates on the Democratic side and Republican side. I am a young republican and even though I am not old enough to vote I would choose to vote for John McCain. McCain would not be my first choice would have been Mit Romney but he dropped out of the race. I would choose John McCain because Mr. Romney recommended him, he is a very secure man, and I am a republican.   
Mit Romney was a good candidate and I thought he would be the best for president, but he dropped out. He went on national TV and asked people to support McCain because he is a very good person for the job. A man that introduced him was talking about Barack Obama and McCain came back on the air and said made an apology for the mans choice of words.
I think John McCain is a very secure man because he has won many votes from many states. When he talks and comes on the air and talks he seems like is a very good hardworking man that will meet our needs. There are many good things about McCain and he seems like the best candidate to me.
I am a young Republican and I truly believe that McCain is a man worth the job. I don't think Hilary Clinton should be running for president because she would never make it because she is a girl. There are a lot of men in our country that would not agree and around the world it would create problems with men in power. I like more Republicans than democrats anyways, they show more values and take time and concerns into what people need more than what they want.
In all, McCain is a good man, a Republican, and he comes recommended by Mit Romney. Although that doesn't say much because he dropped out of the race, he was a very good guy too, and now John McCain has  a better chance. 

Do you feel more confident now than you did at the beginning of the year about any of your skills: computer? writing? reading? Explain.

Writing collaboratively can be challenging and rewarding. Write about your experience writing with another person.

My experience with writing in a group was good. My group was very good, and some of my close friends. We brainstormed, and it came across us very easy. We had some smart and very creative people in our group so it was pretty fun. Having creative minds mixed in a group can make things much more exciting, and make time fly. I think we had a pretty good story and working well with this group was a good experience.
