Photosynthesis
The process of photosynthesis is the plants use the sunlight to convert water and carbon dioxide into oxygen and high-energy carbohydrates sugars and starches. Plant cells have chlorophyll. The plants principal pigment is chlorophyll. Chlorophyll absorbs the light very well in the blue and red regions of the visible spectrum. Plants gather the sun’s energy with light-absorbing molecules called pigments.
Chlorophyll collects light and gets its energy. Chlorophyll takes red and blue light in and reflects green away. NADPH and ATP are made when reaction center chlorophyll sends it to proteins. Proteins use the flow of energy to make ATP. Photosynthesis' make ATP photo system 1 helps make NADPH. Splitting of water ions oxygen given off as a waste produce. ATP and NADPH are used in the light independent.
