How does this class seem different from other English classes you've had
in the past?
This class seems different in many
aspects. In my other English classes most of the work was done on paper,
and we learned from textbooks. We didn't develop and publish a website in
any of my past classes. This seems like it is a newer version of English
in which we don't learn the same things and the way we learn them is way
different. The use fi technology in English classes make them more useful
for the future because of the fast rate at which technology is taking over our
lives.
What's your favorite thing about your web page and why?
My favorite thing about my web page is that I get to design it the way I want and it reflects my own personal style.
If you had more time to work on your web page, what would you change or improve about it and why?
I would spend more time linking more things on my web page and developing more of my stories and poetry. I would take the time to make sure that my web page would be easy and fun to navigate.
Even though you are too young to vote, it won’t be long. You should be aware of what is going on in the world and in our country. So, I want you to write a five paragraph journal entry explaining who you would vote for for president if you were able to, and give three good reasons why. In case you don’t know, the people still in the race are Republicans John McCain and Mike Huckabee and Democrats Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama.
I would vote for Barack Obama, because I like the way he represents himself and I think he would make a good president for our country.
How have you integrated your learning of literature with your web and technical learning?
I have taken my learning of literature and combined them with my web and technical learning by posting my writings on the internet. Although it isn't always easier to combine these two it is usually a lot of fun.
Do you feel more confident now than you did at the beginning of the year about any of your skills: computer? writing? reading? Explain
Yes, I think that I am more confident now than I did at the beginning of the year because I have gotten used to using the computer and the programs that we use to make our web pages. there are many aspects that I feel more confident in then I did at the beginning of they year.
Writing collaboratively can be challenging and rewarding. Write about your experience writing with another person.
Writing with another person was a different experience because we both had different styles of writing and ways that we write. it was both interesting and frustrating. There are many things that you can learn from working with other people and writing a story with someone who has a different style of writing than your own can be very rewarding·
