Bigfoot

It seems like forever that there has been a debate on whether Bigfoot is real or not. Although many are skeptical about Bigfoot, there are large amounts of evidence that will help prove that it does exist. The Patterson film from 36 years ago helps prove that a human could not have pretended to be Bigfoot.

There have been many sightings and different descriptions of Bigfoot. It is said to be an apelike creature that thrives in North America. Sightings date back hundreds of years and even thousands of years depending upon the continent. It is said to walk upright, have very large feet, has the face of a gorilla and appears to be very elusive. It gives off a foul odor, which is described as smelling like a mix of wet hair, dead animal and creek mud. These are general descriptions of Bigfoot.(Ohio Research Team)

There are large amounts of evidence to help prove that Bigfoot is in fact real. Measurements taken from the Patterson film that was made thirty-six years ago shows that the animal had arms that were thirty inches from its shoulder to its wrists. It had legs that were thirty five inches from its hip to the ground. The measurement of a human is significantly less than those of Bigfoot. The actual size does not matter, but the ratios prove it cannot be a human.(Truth)

Sasquatch tracks are flat bottomed and often show signs of a double-ball. Footprints are one of the few pieces of hard evidence supporting the existence of Bigfoot; they have been photographed and cast in plaster. Their footprints are roughly human in shape; they are one-third wider that a human footprint of the same length.(Scientific)

There has been a sighting as recent as 1995. A man, wishing to remain anonymous from Tacoma, Washington took several clear, close-up photographs of what he reported to be Bigfoot.

Herbert Atienza, a staff writer from the Journal American newspaper, Bellevue, Washington, published a report concerning the photograph on November 9, 1995. The story is about Cliff Cook who has spent most of his life trying to prove Bigfoot is real, and finally believes he has proof. Crook said that as the man was hiking near the lagoon, he heard "heavy splashes," looked down and saw a hulking figure in the water. "The creature just stood there and looked

at him." He said that as the creature walked away he took several pictures of it. Two experts on photography looked at the pictures and were a little skeptical as to whether they were real, but they did not say the pictures were fake.

The day the Patterson film was made, Patterson and a friend were out riding when their horses were spooked by the creature, and both riders were forced off. Grabbing their equipment, they quickly began filming as the creature stood up, looked around, and casually strolled off into the woods. Researchers quickly arrived on the scene and found tracks in exactly the spot Roger and Bob described. Following the tracks they discovered that the animal had actually climbed up a hill and sat for some time, apparently watching the two men as they recovered their spooked horses. Later examination of the film revealed that if shot at 24 feet per second as Roger indicated, the movement of the animals limbs were human-like but much longer in duration and stride, proving that the creatures system was definitely not human, ruling out the possibility of a person in a ape suit.

Later it was determined that the sophistication required to build such a accurate and detailed costume could have only been accomplished by two manufacturers in the United States, and both deny any involvement in the sighting

More than enough proof has been found to prove to most anyone that Bigfoot is real. The measurements of the feet and the length of the body parts in the Patterson film prove that it could not be a human dressed in a gorilla suit.
