This myth is about how Pecos bill rode this massive tornado. In this myth Pecos Bill is the best gol-durned rider ever. He can ride everything and nothing can throw him off. Even the best bronco couldn’t throw this rider. The only time Bill ever fell off was this one time when Bill was up in Kansas and decided to ride a twister.

Bill wasn’t going to ride just any size of a tornado. He was going to ride the meanest and largest F5 tornado in history. This tornado turned the sky black and green, and roared so loud it woke up the farmers over in China. So Pecos Bill just jumped up on the back of the tornado and rode it all the way down to Texas. Even while Bill spurred and jabbed the beast the tornado tied rivers into knots and the monster even demolished forest so bad they had to rename one area the Staked Plains.

Finally the huge tornado decides that Wild Bill wasn’t going to fall off his back no matter how fast he twist and turned. So the beast headed west to California and rained itself out. This twister dumped so much rain that it washed out the Grand Canyon. Finally the tornado had diminished and Pecos Bill fell off and hit the ground so hard that people call this spot Death Valley. This is how rodeos became started, but most cowboys stick to broncos now days.
