SPIDER WOMEN

Spider woman, the protector and creator of life, the mother of all creation, was what most southwestern Native American cultures thought. According to the myth, Spider Women spun two silver strands, one connecting east and west, and the other north to south. These silver strands connected the four corners of the Earth. Spider women can be considered mother of the Earth. She made men, women, twin daughters and sons with colored clay, who created the sun, moon, and stars. Spider women also created all vegetation and animals that live on the Earth according to the Native American tribes.

Spider women made women the essential key to the life process on Earth. She created all races from the same source, with equal rights and responsibilities. Spider women reminds women to keep the dream of life alive and continue to keep building your dreams even when times are bad.
