Interview
| I decided that I would ask my mom about lightening since she lived on a farm most of her life. She had many stories but one of them stuck out. One day when she was 13 some of the family was out bailing hay on the farm. The sky became dark which told them it was soon to rain. The rest of the kids and her decided to head back to the house in the tractor while it began to downpour. They got back to the house but instead of running into the house with her siblings she decides to take cover inside the nearby machine shed. Hiding in a machine shed in the middle of a storm with no doors and a metal roof wasn’t a very smart idea but she didn’t know any better. All of a sudden it started heavy blasts of lightning broke out. Minutes later my uncle, Charlie, came to look for my mom and he found her on the ground. She apparently got struck my lightning, but she was fine just a little shaken. |
