Interview with Grandpa and Grandma Q: When did the fire start? A: July, 1991 Q: What happened? A: Right before the rain started, the wind started to pick up and there was lightning all over. We were hoping for lots of rain because the land was dry. Then there was a large crack of lightning. When I went outside to look, there was a small field fire in the pasture. Q: Was the fire large? A: Not very, the wind blew it around a little. Q: How did you put it out? A: Since it wasn't that big, we waited for the rain to put it out. Q: Did you have anymore troubles with field fires? A: No, that was the only one of the year.
