The Day I Was a Bird

As I awoke this morning from the warm sun beating down on my head I noticed something had changed. I had become a bird. For some this may shock them or even drive them crazy, but for me I saw it as an opportunity for a new adventure.

I flew through the sky and saw things from a completely different point of view. From above of course but everything seemed more calm and peaceful in the sky like there weren’t any problems. The sounds from the earth seemed so far away as I sailed through the sky all I could hear was the pleasant song of the other birds around me who had no problems of their own.

My day mostly consisted of flying, singing, and trying new cuisine that I would have never thought to be good. The worms tasted of chocolate, and the small beetles tasted of berries. Though this is a different taste than I had imagined I believed that everything is different when you’re a bird.

The smells were also something that was different from that of a human. I was able to smell the dirt being dug in a nearby garden and the flowers that were planted around someone’s house. The apple-pie set in the window smelled deeper and richer than ever before.

Being a bird wasn’t all that bad everything seemed to be peaceful and calm without any cares to be had. I only wish that it wasn’t a dream.
