During high school, young adults deal with many difficult issues. For example, there are many aspects of lives that lead to students dropping out of high school. There are both causes and effects that teenagers do this. The aspects that lead to this are considered minute in relation to the effects that happen after one decides to end their high school career abruptly.
The reasons that I thought of causing an individual would drop out are a very small list. The four beginning reasons all began with pressure from family or friends. Peer pressure from friends or close family could possibly pressure a person into this act. Also, bad home lives have led to this as well.
The next step in the dropping out process has to do with peer pressure. Peer pressure can often result in an individual or group doing experimenting with drugs or alcoholic beverages, and then often getting addicted. Sometimes, though rare, under the influence of these substances, teenagers get pregnant. Instead of thinking of an alternative, teenagers often feel that their only alternative is dropping out in order to support their child. Also, like I mentioned, bad home lives may be influential to dropping out. This can often cause depression leading teenagers to believe that they are not worth the education.
Finally, the consequences of dropping out are a never ending list. Dropping out reduces the chance of getting into a good college, let alone a college at all. Then, without college, there are not a lot of good jobs available for those that are uneducated which results in low pay. Low pay means that one is often not able to support themselves, or in the future, a family. This then causes debt which eventually, if not taken care of, can lead to declaring bankruptcy. Bankruptcy ruins your credit for the majority of your life and often times, does not help your debt situation other than for a short time.
In conclusion, dropping out is a bad idea all together. If one were to get behind, there is an amazing staff, the counseling staff and teachers, which take care of that. Counselors are also there for about every issue that you can think of to talk about.
