
YEA October Board Meeting
4:15 pm, Tuesday, October 18th, 2005
President Angie Hejl called the meeting to order at 4:15.
Roll Call: Melanie Vlasman, Michele Luken, Holly Gordon, Kay Koliner, Deanna Garvey, Stacy Ryken, Vicki Barron and Angie Hejl
Minutes: Deanna Garvey made a motion to approve the minutes from the last meeting. Melanie seconded the motion, and the minutes were approved.
Treasure report: Treasurer’s report was given by Stacy Ryken. The balance is
$1, 690.62 with no outstanding bills.
Old Business: The board discussed putting together a nominating committee to recruit someone for the President-Elect vacancy. After further discussion, the board decided to seek out other YEA members who might be interested in the position.
New Business: Leadership training is in Sioux Falls November, 22. There is a grievance training meeting in Menno November 19th on how to handle grievances.
A member was selected from each committee to call together committees. At the first meeting each YEA committee will meet to choose a chairperson.
YEA will be providing cakes for the banquet again this year. The Community Service Committee is responsible for posting a sign-up sheet in each building. Each building is assigned a month to provide four 8x8 cakes. Four cakes will be delivered to the banquet each week.

The board discussed possible changes to the spring retirement banquet.
There will be a general YEA meeting at 7:45 on October 31st in the Alumni Hall.
Stacy made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Deana seconded the motion. The meeting came to a close at 5:10.
