Ø      Old Business - none

Ø      New Business

§         Pat Schulze will look into securing a space for free on Angel Fire.  A BLOG site would allow YEA members to make comments and to check for YEA information regarding agendas minutes and school board info.  The web page or BLOG site could also be linked to SDEA.

§         According to the SDEA by-laws, our YEA officers were not legitimate because they were not voted on by secret ballot.  Nominations for President Elect were opened and Pat Schulze nominated Paul Harens.  Paul declined the nomination.  Paul Harnes made a motion for the YEA board to appoint a nominating committee.  The motion was seconded by Lisa Card.  The floor was then open for nominations for secretary.  Paul Harnes made a motion to accept Michele Luken as secretary and it was seconded by Jackie Searl.  Nominations were solicited for treasurer and Leo made a motion to accept Stacy Ryken and Paul Harens seconded it.

§         Angie Hejl discussed committees and the importance of having a Grievance Committee.  That committee will be combined with the Government Committee.  The Community Service Committee will be renamed Public Relations.  Paul Harens made a motion to pursue amending the by-laws and the motion was seconded by Lisa Card.

The committee list will be restructured so building representatives will pass around the list so YEA members can sign up a new committee.

YEA has the opportunity to secure $635 from SDEA for a membership grant.  Part of the proposal is to have more frequent general membership meetings.  We will meet quarterly.

Ø      The ten free memberships drawn are Amy Neu, Amy Harvison, Faydra Christensen, Deb Howell, Leleila Kniffen, Marsha Bertsch, Heidi Savey, Lynn Moser, Peggy Marquardt, Marilyn Kulm.

Ø      The meeting was adjourned at 8:30.
